RTWHG doesn't have a site about it so I thought I would give you guys a link to the forum hosted in TW Center. The mod does have its flaws just like any other but it's a nice change of pace, they're working on a second version which should be better so we'll see that turns out. I was just getting sick of vanilla and getting rather burned out by the game until I found this mod, now I'm hooked again! Just wanting to share my newly found enthusiasm for this game and perhaps you guys would try it out for a change.

You could face the greats on a battle.īTW, I'm in no way involve with this mod as much as it may seem. (this is when playing on VH/VH)Īnd as a nice added touch is that you find guys such as Hannibal, and Pyrrhus of Epyrus lurking around. when you're on the attack, the opposing army doesn't just sit there they would actually come at you if they sense a weakness or opportunity. The AI is much more of a challenge than vanilla, e.g. The map is lot nicer and better looking, there are more regions and more cities making it harder to conquer territory, therefore taking longer which is more realistic. Some cool features is that you're able to recruit governors in case the system wouldn't "breed" one or give you one as MoTH. The Gauls and Iberians (not Spain) have some nice new units. Those unit models are pretty sick, the detailed graphics of the centurions and legionaries are very good and I'm only able to run the RTW unit graphics on high and not highest so I couldn't imagine how that would be like.īut it's not all about the Romans, there are new factions such as Syracuse, Epyrus. Each with their respective historically accurate (if available) emblem, and symbol. As the name suggests it's focus on the Romans quite a bit, there are 35 new legions recruitable in certain regions of the map. But I would recommend you guys take a look at Roma Surrectum if you haven't done so. Since those are the most popular and pretty good ones.

So there is a lot of talk about RTW mods such as RTR, Europa Barbarorum, Extended Greek and such.
